Brechin V East Fife at Glebe Park - Match Preview

McLauchlan banned for City

Brechin defender Gerry McLauchlan sits out a second game through suspension as Ray McKinnon's side return to Glebe Park to face East Fife.

After playing two fixtures at Forfar's Station Park, McKinnon is looking for home comforts against the Fifers.

Ewan Moyes will be absent for a second game due to an ankle injury, with Craig Molloy (knee) and Jonathan Brown (ankle) missing as well.

McKinnon has warned his men that they face a tough time against their visitors.

He said: "By all accounts East Fife were unlucky to lose to Ayr on Saturday so we will need to work hard to get the three points.

"We have lost our last two games but they were to worthy champions in Queen of the South so I am not reading too much into that."

East Fife have David Muir back from suspension as they look for the three points that will see them leap over Stranraer in the race to avoid relegation.

Darren Smith is a doubt with an ankle injury as manager Billy Brown looks for a change in his side's fortunes.

"I have said for a while now that East Fife have not had a break in my time in charge and that carried on at the weekend," Brown said.

"We were denied a clear penalty when the score was 1-1 and our opponents Ayr went up the park and scored a winner."

"Hopefully we can play well and get a break at Brechin and pick up the win we need."
