**Brechin 0-1 Falkirk::Match Report**

Both Kevin Budinauckas (above) and Chris Templeman (Bottom left) were outstanding!
Brechin started with a 4-4-2 formation with Jamie Smith, Scott McCulloch, Andy Dowie and Paul Deas at the back, while the midfield consisted of Marc Millar, Kevin McLeish and Craig Winter, while Charlie King played just behind the two strikers. Chris Templeman and Colin Boylan started upfront as both Steven Hampshire and Darryl Duffy were out injured. Kevin Budinaukas was between the sticks as Davie Hay had picked up an injury against Inverness CT on Tuesday night.

Falkirk came into this game with very little to play for as they were sitting in 5th place, too far away from the top of the table to win the championship, and too far away from the relegation zone. Brechin started in 10th place and staring relegation right in the face, but both the players and the coaching staff are determined to fight for every point.

Brechin were very unlucky not to go away with the share of the spoils or even the 3 points as they laid siege on Falkirks goal in the 1st half. But it was the story of the season so far, failing to score clear-cut chances while the opposition score against the run of play.

On 20 minutes Kevin McLeish tried his luck when his dipping 35 yard volley from the right hand side was tipped onto the bar by the outstanding Darren Hill and over, Colin Boylan also tried his luck but his header went wide.

Templeman then came very close on several occasions, forcing Falkirk keeper' Darren Hill into some excellent saves, one of which palming away at his near post, after this, Falkirk started to get their fair share of chances.

MacSween, Colquhoun, and Brent Rahim all forced excellent saves from stand in keeper' Kevin Budinaukas, who showed excellent reflexes to deny the three Falkirk players.

Falkirk were more organised in the second half as both Chris Templeman and Colin Boylan, who were nuisances to the Falkirk defence in the first half, started to quieten down, and Falkirk were to get their reward...

After 68 minutes, Falkirk finally scored after missing some clear cut chances as Craig McPherson's flighted corner found Russell Latapy at the edge of the box, who struck it on the full volley and somehow managed to find a way through an army of bodies in the box.

The visitors kept up the pressure and came close to doubling their advantage as Russell Latapy found Kevin Budinaukas on fine form after a dazzling run.

Brechin worked hard and pushed for the equaliser, but it wasn't to come as they passed up chances to score the goal they needed.

BCR's MoM-
It would be very unfair to seperate keeper' Kevin Budinaukas and Chris Templeman in this game, so they both get joint Man Of The Match. Budinaukas made some superb saves to keep the scoreline down, while Chris Templeman was back to his old self, finding himself in space, terrorising the defenders, and getting several shots on goal and was unlucky not to be on the scoresheet.
