Brechin 2-1 Forfar- Match Report

McManus at the double

Paul McManus' second-half brace helped Brechin come from behind to beat Forfar 2-1.

Christopher Templeman netted six minutes before half-time to give the visitors the lead at the break, but McManus turned the game on its head with his eighth and ninth goals of the season.

Forfar, now without a win in 10 league games, led after Templeman headed in Ross Campbell's cross.

But the hosts responded six minutes after the interval when McManus kept his cool to slot home from 12 yards.

And the striker doubled his tally, firing in from the edge of the box just eight minutes later.

James Lister nearly extended Brechin's advantage but his effort came back off a post and the striker came close again before the end, forcing a smart save out of Forfar keeper Greg Paterson.
