Newly promoted Stirling Albion maintained an impresssive 100% record with a comfortable win over Brechin, Martin Glancy hitting a double as his team romped to a 3-0 victory.

Albion started well with full back Paul Nugent nearly scoring early on when his long-range effort fired just over.

Brechin did have an opportunity after ten minutes when Chris Templeman headed wide from a Graeme Gibson cross.

The visitors went one-nil ahead moments later however when a Kevin MacDonald cross was met by the unmarked Glancy who fired it hard through a crowded box to open the scoring.

The Glebe Park side tried in vain to find an equaliser but they couldn't find a way through the organised Stirling defence.

The newly promoted side increased their lead after 60 minutes from the penalty spot. Charlie King brought down Scott McLean in the box and the Albion striker got up to take it himself to make it two-nil.

Brechin started the stronger side after the interval but failed to manage a shot on target.

Moments later Glancy hit his second of the afternoon to put the game beyond doubt.

The two-goal hero picked up the ball on the edge of the box, beat one Brechin defender and fired his shot low and hard past the standed David Hay to seal the win and send the promotion favourites to their second successive league defeat.
