Away Day Review

The Ground?

An impressive stadium, with over 10,000 seats for when St Mirren were in the SPL. City fans were housed in the Caledonia Stand, or the Laidlaw Scott Stand, or the Vertigo Stand, or the Ben Nevis Stand, or whatever you want to call it, as it's well known for being extremely steep and has/or will cause many accidents for years to come. I was extremely cautious going down the steps with a pie in my hand anyway. Most of the St Mirren fans were in the North Bank, although there was an empty section at the end for some bizarre reason, thats where Brechin fans were put the last time we were in this division, but if the away fans are being put in their own stand, surely it would make sense to open the whole of the North Bank to allow the Saints supporters with more choice of where to sit? At the opposite end of the ground there was another stand, much smaller than the stand we were in, and it was sparcely populated, along with the Main Stand to our right.

The Programme?

Quite impressive, and while trying not to be biased, not as good as our programme. It was 100% colour and was printed on silky paper, and while there was some excellent content inside and some information on Brechin City, most of it was adverts. It cost £2, which I'm not going to argue too much about. I'd give it 7/10.

The Pie?

The base and pastry was a little soggy, but a fine piece of butcher's material inside, although not as good as Queen of the Souths. And like the programme, I'd give it 7/10 also.
