Brechin will play against either Partick Thistle or Inverness Caledonian Thistle in the first round of the Bell's Challenge Cup, it all depends which team will be playing first division football next season.

Inverness were denied a place in the SPL but have demanded a re-vote and it looks increasingly likely that they will be allowed to make the step up and groundshare with Aberdeen.
