Brechin set to sign Burns.

Alex Burns, 32, is a man of many clubs.  He has previously served Shotts Bon Accord, Motherwell, Herracles, Southend, Raith, Livingston, St Mirren, Partick, Motherwell and finally Clyde.  His best spell was undoubtly at Partick Thistle where he netted 20 goals in 51 games for the Jags in the SPL.

While the signing has not been confimed as yet, Ian Campbell is adamant that 'Toastie' will sign for the City on a Month's deal, but he had admitted that the Hamilton game has come too soon for him, so he is unlikely to feature.

Burns impressed as a trialist against Peterhead in a pre season friendly and as Pink hasn't seen much of him, a month's deal is probably the most sensible.

This is how the BBC reported it:

Former Motherwell and Partick Thistle striker Alex Burns is set to sign a one-month deal at Brechin City.

Manager Ian Campbell was impressed by the 32-year-old during a trial period.

"Alex is getting there fitness wise and this deal will allow me the opportunity to have a good look at him once he is fully fit,'' Campbell told The Courier.

"Saturday is going to come too quickly for him but he's not that far away and I'm looking forward to seeing him because he is a good player."

Burns made 19 appearance for Clyde after leaving Motherwell on loan last season but only found the net once.
