Brechin V Airdrieonians at Glebe Park - Match Preview

Petrie banned for Brechin

Brechin's on-loan Dundee United defender Darren Petrie is suspended for the visit of Airdrie after being sent off in the 3-0 defeat at Stranraer on Saturday.

Paul McLean returns after a ban with everyone else available to manager Ray McKinnon, who is looking for better from his men.

McKinnon said: "We need to start winning games. We have been playing well and been unlucky but at the weekend we were disappointing. I'm glad we have this game so quickly as it gives us a chance to bounce back quickly.

"Airdrie will be keen to get a win so it will not be easy."

Bottom-of-the-table Airdrie are looking for a morale-boosting second win of the season over Brechin, but they do so without the injured Chris O'Neill (groin), Grant Drummond (knee), Grant Evans (ankle) and John Boyle (knee).

Keigan Parker could play as a trialist for a second time after appearing when the Diamonds lost 3-1 to East Fife at the weekend and manager Gary Bollan is hoping to bring his side's season to life with a win.

Bollan said: "This is a massive game for Airdrie and if we win it we move to within two points of Brechin.

"We are in a difficult position but we can win this game."
