Brechin V Arbroath at Glebe Park - Match Preview

Trouten banned for Brechin

Brechin are missing Alan Trouten through suspension as they host Angus neighbours Arbroath just seven days before the sides meet again in the Scottish Cup.

The Glebe Park men are also missing Allan Walker (knee), Derek Carcary (hamstring) and Stephen Robb (ankle) as they look to bounce back from losing 4-3 to leaders Rangers last weekend.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "We lost but there were lots of positives to take from that game. We were back playing the football we played at the start of 2013 with lots of pace and lots of intensity.

"The same again against Arbroath would be terrific, especially if it brings the three points."

Arbroath have secured the services of on-loan Motherwell striker Lee Erwin for a third month and he will lead their attack.

Fellow forward Graham Bayne is available after a knee injury but a knee problem keeps Connor Birse out and Ricky Little's broken metatarsal has not yet healed. Lee Sibanda, Alan Cook, Ross Chisholm and Steven Milne are all doubts.

Player/manager Paul Sheerin said: "I'm not sure what team we will send out due to the injury doubts but whatever side goes out will look for our third derby win of the season.

"Having Lee available again is a terrific help."
