Brechin v St Mirren Preview

Last updated : 21 March 2006 By BCM
Brechin take on league leaders St Mirren at Glebe Park tonight hoping to continue on from Saturday's battling performance against Ross County.

Brechin City Team News:

John Hillcoat and Paul Deas have a full squad to choose from with Danny Grainger and Gary Bollan returning back from suspension. It will be interesting to see who starts at left back!

Player to watch: Chris Templeman

The big striker is yet to bag a goal on his return back to Glebe Park and he would just love to stick one past the Buddies with him being a Morton player.

St Mirren Team News:

St Mirren don't have too many injury worries, however, experienced midfielder Andy Millen could miss out for the visitors.

Player to watch: Charlie Adam

Charlie Adam has been causing a lot of problems for 1st division defences this season. Scored a header on Saturday against Clyde and the attacking midfielder will be looking to add to his already impressive tally for the season at Glebe Park.

Match Facts & Stats

St Mirren have one all three matches between the two sides this season, albiet very narrowly. the buddies beat Brechin 1-0 at Love Street earlier in the season before travelling up to Glebe Park for a cold mid-week match in November which ended 3-2 to the Saints. In the game on Hogmanay at Love Street, City put in a battling performance but had nothing to show for it in a 3-2 defeat.

Match Prediction:

John Hillcoat and Paul Deas looked to have installed new confidence into the squad which showed on Saturday against Ross County. However, I feel St Mirren will be just too good on the night. Narrow win for the Buddies.
