Brechin V Stenhousemuir at Glebe Park - Match Preview

Striker Andy Jackson has recovered from a calf injury to give new Brechin boss Ray McKinnon a full squad to choose from as he looks to make it two wins from two games when Stenhousemuir visit Glebe Park.

McKinnon said: "I was delighted with the players in the 3-0 win over Stranraer last Saturday, especially for the defence. They have had a hard time of things recently but to keep a clean sheet was great.

"We will set out to do the same again against Stenhousemuir although I recognise it will be a hard task as they have decent strikers who have scored a few goals. It would be great to get another win and get some momentum behind us for the second quarter of the season."

Stenhousemuir will be without Darren Smith as the former Motherwell, Ross County and Stirling Albion winger has a virus.

The Warriors will also be missing their centre-back pairing of Scott Buist and Ross McMillan with manager Martyn Corrigan warning his men to be wary of rejuvenated Brechin.

Corrigan said: "They appeared to have reacted well to a new manager coming in and defeated Stranraer 3-0 so we have to be on our guard.

"They will have a bit of confidence about them now and be looking to build on that but we have done well this season.

"Our players will be out to show they can handle Brechin's attempts to get two wins in a row."
