Brechin V Stranraer at Glebe Park - Match Preview

Recently-appointed Brechin boss Ray McKinnon takes charge of his side for the first time when Stranraer visit Glebe Park.

McKinnon is able to include a fit-again Craig Molloy in his thoughts for first team selection.

However, Ryan Stewart remains out with a knee injury and defender Gerry McLauchlan is a doubt with a foot problem.

McKinnon said: "It has been good to have had the international break as it has allowed me to get to know the players better.

"The first thing I have asked them to do is to stiffen up the defence as too many goals were being lost.

"I am looking forward to my first game and have gathered a lot of information on Stranraer so I feel that we are well prepared."

Burly striker Michael Moore will be in the Stranraer squad.

Bottom of the table Stranraer are looking for their first away point of the season and Moore has shaken off an ankle injury to be included in manager Keith Knox's plans.

The Stair Park boss now has only David MacGregor (knee) unavailable and he is looking for his side to build on a solid performance against leaders Queen of the South in their last outing.

He said: "We lost that one 2-0 but there was not that much between the sides and we have taken a lift from that.

"Brechin will be looking for the positive bounce a new manager usually brings but a win would lift us off the bottom and I would settle for a scrappy 1-0 success."
