Brechin V Stranraer at Glebe Park - Match Preview

Double boost as Brechin return to action

Brechin welcome back skipper Ewan Moyes and Jonny Brown as they look to consolidate their play-off spot at home to struggling Stranraer.

Moyes has been missing with a knee injury while Brown is also now available following an ankle problem, however Craig Molloy remains out with a knee complaint as the Glebe Park men look to get playing after four weeks out of action.

Manager Ray McKinnon said: "While we have not played for a while we have kept our place in the play-off zone which is terrific news. We are determined now to consolidate our place by winning games - starting against Stranraer.

"Stranraer have had a couple of games in that time and also strengthened their pool with the signing of Darren Gribben, who scored twice last weekend. This will be a very tricky game on what will be a very heavy pitch."

Stranraer will be without defender David McGregor due to the knee injury he picked up in last Saturday's 3-1 win over East Fife.

McGregor is the only absentee from a Blues squad determined to record another win and climb out of the relegation zone.

Boss Stephen Aitken said: "Our performance against East Fife set a really good standard for us to achieve through the rest of the year.

"Brechin are a really good team, especially going forward, but if we play in the same way we played against East Fife we can take something home with us. They have not played for four weeks and if there are any signs of rustiness then we have to be ready to take advantage."
