Campbell reacts to poor form of late

Dick Campbell is baffled by the gap between his squad's cup tie performances and the dismal showing in the league.

He refuses to be downbeat and believes the solution will only be found by working their socks off.

Brechin's next three matches are against Falkirk, Raith Rovers and St Johnstone - not the easiest opposition at the best of times, never mind when we are still looking for our first win!

The first of these games is two weeks away, and Dick, along with the rest of his coaching staff, will be using the time to sort things out - including the indiscipline that lead to the goal which evidently lost us the points against Queen of the South.

"I think the break will do us a world of good," said Campbell. "I don't think we should be too downhearted, there are still over 80 points to play for.

"I am honest enough with myself to see that we are shooting ourselves in the foot.

"It is our own fault that we have yet to win in the league.

"We are not being beaten by much, Certainly not as much as the league position suggests. We just need a wee something to start us off.

"There is no magic wand, we just have to keep working hard."
