Ian Campbell has snapped up experienced striker Gerry Britton. Gerry has played for a host of SPL and SFL clubs and his best days were clearly at Partick Thistle where he couldn't stop scoring in the SPL for the Jags.

Gerry nearly signed for Brechin in the summer but chose the vacant assistant manager role to Jim Duffy at Dundee. Since then Duffy has been cruelly sacked by the Dundee board and Britton was told he was not in contention for the job, and he felt new manager Alan Kernaghan should pick his own assistant manager and therefore left the club.

Gerry now wanted part time football so he could continue his studies to be a lawyer, and Brechin City was the perfect option for him.

Meanwhile striker Graham Gibson has left the club to go to Australia. The big striker was signed by Dick Campbell in the summer of 2002 and proved the be a success, scoring 2 goals on his debut against Berwick Rangers, but recently Gibby has been finding it hard to get a first team place.
