Raith Rover's midweek win over Queen Of The South means they have pulled 8 points clear above Brechin and have taken over St Mirren in the process, who are currently 7 points ahead of Brechin in 8th place. Brechin are now 8 points from safety with only 8 games remaining.
To add to City's worries, Darryl Duffy will be out for some time and may not play again until the end of the season, he picked up Ligament Injuries against St Mirren as he clashed with Saints keeper Craig Hinchcliffe.
Both Graham Gibson and Chris Templeman will be fit for the visit from St Johnstone on Saturday and both look likely to start as Steven Hampshire has some severe bruising after the game against St Mirren.
Dick Campbell is also hoping new signing Craig Winter will make an impact again after scoring Brechin's 3rd goal last Saturday against St Mirren from outside the box.

A preview for the St Johnstone match should be online tonight.
