Brechin face a greater selection headache, with a quintet of players out because of work commitments.
Manager Jim Duffy must do without Jon Seeley, Willie Dyer, Anton Kurakins, Neil Janczyk and Alex Walker as they seek a return to the second tier.
Cowdenbeath manager Danny Lennon: "The players have been fantastic all season but we need that to continue as we are really at the make-or-break stage now.
"Brechin will come here full of confidence after beating Airdrie home and away.
"The games between us have been very tight but I am looking for us to be heading to their place on Sunday in front."
Brechin City manager Jim Duffy: "The players gave two fantastic performances (against Airdrie United) and it was great to see, especially after a disappointing run of form at the end of our league season.
"It is not very often Division Two players can play in a game that will be shown live on TV. They will be trying even harder to do themselves justice as a result."
