Darren was referred to as Berwick's "Prize Asset" in Division 2 last year but despite Darren's greatest efforts, the borderers were relegated to Division 3.
He made it known to Berwick manager John Coughlin that he did not want to play in Division 3 and his wish has come true, and he will star for Brechin next season in the first division.
