Graham Gibson has returned to City after leaving for Australia 6 months ago. City retained the contract of 'Gibby' when he left to go down under and can now get back to playing for City as they look to avoid relegation.

The lanky striker caught the eye of former City manager Dick Campbell when playing for Lochore Welfare in the junior leagues, and didn't look out of place when he made his debut against Berwick on the opening day of season 2002/03. Gibby netted City's 2 goals in a dissapointing 4-2 defeat against the borderers.

Meanwhile, City are preparing for the long trip down to Dumfries to play Queen of the South in a 'make or break' game for City on Saturday. Queens have picked up a couple of fantastic results recently and City now find themselves six points behind the doonhamers at this crucial stage of the season. Queens got a rub of the green on Saturday when they recorded a 3-2 victory against Dundee at Dens Park, despite not playing particularly well. However, Gary Wood's fantastic finish was a goal worthy of winning any match.

For City fans wishing to go to the game, the Brechin City Supporter's Club are running a bus to the match. The bus will leave St Ninian's Square at 9:45am and if you wish to book a seat then call (01356) 623151.
