Brechin put in a solid performance against a strong Dunfermline side at East End Park.
July 14: Forfar Athletic (h) - W 2-1 (Gibson, Hampshire)
In a rather uneventful game Brechin ran out 2-1 winners against local rivals Forfar Athletic at Glebe Park. Steven Hampshire scored the winner with just minutes remaining.
July 16: Partick Thistle (h) - W 4-0 (Callaghan, Gibson, Walker, Byers)It was the battle of the Campbell twins as Ian and Dick went head to head and it was the Brechin manager who emerged victorious, as he watched his side hammer Partick 4-0.
July 19: Arbroath (h) - W 3-2 (Hampshire, Byers, Ritchie)
In a half decent game (For a friendly anyway) Brecin defeated local rivals Arbroath at Glebe Park.
July 24: Peterhead (h) - L 0-1
In the final pre-season friendly Brechin lost 1-0 to 2nd division newcomers Peterhead. Despite creating chance upon chance Brechin couldn't get the ball in the net, while Peterhead scored with their only shot on target.
