Dundee Football Club are now officially relegated from the Scottish Premier League and will be in the same division as Brechin next year.

Many Brechin fans will be delighted to have such a big club in the same division and the short journeys to Dens Park but many fear for their future, lets hope they can pull through!

Dundee could only muster a 1-1 draw at Almondvale against Livingston which guarenteed The Lions place in next years SPL, while City rivals Dundee Utd scored a late penalty against Inverness to record a 1-0 victory.

The draw for the Bell's Challenge Cup will take place this Friday (27th May). Barring last season, where we lost 3-0 to Partick in the first round, Brechin have done well in this competition in recent years, reaching the semi final's twice which sandwiched the final appearance against Queen Of The South in 2002, which we lost 2-0.

Meanwhile, it looks like Roddy Black has already fixed himself with another club, in Angus rivals Arbroath. Roddy found it hard to even get in the first 16 here but he had bags of talent and will no doubt do a good job for Harry Cairney and Stuart Sorbie's side in Division Three.
