Chris Templeman has joined Brechin on loan for the remainder of the season from 2nd division outfit Greenock Morton.

Chris joined Brechin in the Summer of 2001 from Stirling Albion, and went on to make 139 appearances for City, scoring 63 goals in the process.

After scoring a barrowload of goals for City before Christmas last season, Morton came in with a substantial bid to bring the striker to Cappielow. However, Chris hasn't maintained the form that brought him to Morton.

City fans will fondly remember "Sanny" scoring the goal that won us promotion to the first division in season 2002/03. Brechin only needed a draw against relegation threatened Hamilton on the last day of the season and with City going into stoppage time 2-1 down, Sanny popped up to score a dramatic equaliser to send City fans wild.

Morton manager Jim McInally told the official Morton website:

"I'm disappointed, as I saw Chris as part of the squad to take us through to the end of this season. I have, however, been unsuccessful in persuading him to stay."
