CURRENT POSITIONS IN LEAGUE-
St Mirren- 7th
Brechin- 9th

PREVIOUS MEETINGS-
Brechin 1-1 St Mirren
St Mirren 0-0 Brechin
Brechin 2-0 St Mirren

ONES TO WATCH-
Ricky Gilles- The attacking midfielder still has an eye for goals and was on the scoresheet against Brechin at Glebe Park in September. He will be looking to add to his ever-impressive tally at Love Street on Saturday.

Simon Lappin- The young midfielder/striker has had a good season so far and looks a great prospect for the club. Has bagged a few goals this season and will cause problems for the Brechin defence.

Brechin will be well up for this one after their 0-0 draw with league leaders Clyde and St Mirren are the only team in the division not to have beaten Brechin.

St Mirren lost 1-0 to Ross County at the week-end at Victoria Park and will want to get back to winning ways as Raith have pulled them back into the relegation zone.

This is no doubt a crucial game for Brechin in their quest to stay in the first division and St Mirren will want to improve their form against all the relegation candidates as they have lost 2-0 to Raith, Ayr and Brechin in the space of a month recently.

BCR's Prediction- St Mirren 1-2 Brechin
