David Craig has agreed terms with 2nd Division side and full time outfit Partick Thistle, who are managed by City legend Dick Campbell. David had only been at the club for barely three months, after he has been signed by Ian Campbell from QoS in the summer.

The official Partick Thistle website reported:

"An experienced defender, thirty-six year old David moved around the clubs after leaving Firhill and joined Brechin from Queen of the South in May 2005.

Standing at 6’2” and weighing in at around 13 stones, Dick Campbell believes that David’s commanding presence will be an asset wherever he is deployed on the park."

Meanwhile, Alex Burns has accepted a new deal which will keep him at the club for a longer period of time. 'Toastie' was originally signed at the start of the season on a months contract and despite not getting back to full fitness and not getting a goal to his name; he has made several telling contributions on the pitch which has led to him being offered a new deal at the club.

Local newspaper The Courier reported:

"Brechin City have agreed to let defender David Craig join Partick Thistle.

Craig’s arrival at Glebe Park on a one-year deal was Ian Campbell’s first pre-season signing but a groin injury has kept him out of recent squad selections.

He was signed from Queen of the South and has also turned out for Ayr United and Dundee United.

“He is a good professional and I wish him well at Thistle,” said Campbell, who agreed terms for the transfer to his brother Dick’s squad yesterday.

Campbell also announced that Alex Burns, who has been on a month’s contract, has agreed terms to stay for a longer period with Brechin.

Campbell said that the former Partick and Motherwell frontman, now 32, is still working back to full fitness but had impressed in his outings."
